Jee Advance is a national level exam for the admission to the IITs. IITs stands for Indian Institutes of Technologies. IITs are the most prestigious institutions of national importance stablished through an act of parliament for advancing excellence in education. Currently there are 23 IITs across the country.
Admission to all these IITs are made through Jee Advance. Jee Advance is the world’s toughest exam and IITs are the hardest institutions in the world to get into.
Each institute has well-equipped modern laboratories, state-of-the-art computer network and well stocked technical library. Teaching methods rely on direct personal contact between the teachers and the students and the use of traditional and modern instructional techniques. Students live in a pleasant and intellectually stimulating environment with people having similar goals and aspirations, which is an exciting and unique experience.
Till 2008 there were only seven IITs but during a span of 15 years, 17 new IITs have been stablished. The newly created institutions have struggled to stablish themselves as a preferred choice of students.
IITs are also planning to set their campuses outside India. The first IIT campus on a foreign soil will be in Zanzibar, Tanzania.
